Meteorologist Damaris Jaime Roop 

I am a Havana, Cuba native but have spent the majority of my life residing in Florida and Mississippi. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in operational meteorology from Mississippi State University. After I moved back to Florida I decided to pursue my second bachelor's in communication, and furthered my education by obtaining my Master of Science in social media marketing via distance learning at Southern New Hampshire University. During my time at MSU I got to storm chase and got to experience all sorts of weather phenomena in Dixie Alley such as severe weather, tornadoes, snow, and ice events. Moving back to Florida, I have been able to focus more on hurricane and tropical storm activity which was the reason I got into weather!
